CBN oil explained: cannabinol is a minor cannabinoid, and ours is a THC-free isolate in MCT. Compare strengths from $89.95 and buy in Perth, across WA.

CBN oil is an oil that carries cannabinol — a minor cannabinoid found in the hemp plant — as its active ingredient. Ours is a THC-free CBN isolate in a coconut-derived MCT carrier, described by what it contains and nothing more. We stock it for Perth through CBD Oil Perth and post it across Perth, Fremantle, Mandurah, Joondalup, Bunbury, Western Australia and the rest of WA.

CBN oil explained for Perth: cannabinol, a THC-free isolate

This is an information page about a product type, written in plain terms. CBD Oil Perth is an online shop in WA; we describe every oil by its measurable make-up — the cannabinoid, the strength, the carrier — and never by what it might do for a person. With CBN that distinction matters, because cannabinol is talked about loosely all over the internet. Here we keep strictly to composition, and explain how our CBN oil is put together and how to read its label before you buy in Perth.

What is CBN (cannabinol)?

Cannabinol, abbreviated CBN, is a minor cannabinoid of the hemp plant, supplied here as a THC-free isolate.

CBN, or cannabinol, is one of the minor cannabinoids the hemp plant produces. "Minor" simply means it occurs in much smaller amounts than the major cannabinoids such as CBD (cannabidiol), so it is a less common ingredient on a shelf and tends to sit at a different price. Chemically it is its own compound, distinct from CBD, and like every cannabinoid it comes from Cannabis sativa L. — hemp being the low-THC variety of that plant.

Our CBN oil is supplied as an isolate: a single cannabinoid, separated out so the bottle contains CBN rather than a blend of plant compounds. Because it is isolated, it is THC-free — there is no measurable THC in it. That is the whole compositional picture, and it is the only picture we offer. You will see CBN described elsewhere with all sorts of promises attached; we make none of them. On this page CBN is a named ingredient with a form and a milligram figure — a minor cannabinoid, in isolate form, with the THC taken out.

CBN vs CBD vs CBG

These three are separate cannabinoids that come from the same plant, and the cleanest way to tell them apart is by what each one is, not by any claim. The comparison below is compositional only.

CBD (cannabidiol) is the most abundant cannabinoid in hemp and the one most ranges are built around. We sell it in two forms. Our full-spectrum CBD oil is whole-plant: it keeps CBD together with the smaller cannabinoids and terpenes from the same extraction, and carries a legal trace of THC kept under 0.3%. The broad-spectrum CBD oil takes that same whole-plant extract and removes the THC, leaving the other hemp compounds in place.

CBG (cannabigerol) is the cannabinoid the plant produces first as it grows — the precursor the others are built from — and it is scarcer than CBD. We sell it on its own as CBG oil.

CBN (cannabinol) is the subject of this page: a separate minor cannabinoid, supplied by us as a THC-free isolate. So the line-up runs from whole-plant CBD (full or broad spectrum) to single-cannabinoid oils (CBG, CBN). The difference is composition — which compound, and whether THC is present — not a ranking of one being "stronger" or "better" than another.

What's in our CBN oil

Our CBN oil is hemp-derived cannabinol isolate dissolved in a neutral MCT carrier — medium-chain triglycerides, coconut-derived — in a 50ml bottle. There is nothing else doing any work: it is the cannabinoid and the carrier, with the full ingredient list printed on the label.

It comes in four strengths, where the milligram figure is the total CBN in the whole bottle: 1000mg, 3000mg, 6000mg and a 12000mg option. Pricing follows the strength and is shown in plain Australian dollars, starting from $89.95 for the 1000mg bottle. Every batch is third-party lab-tested, and a Certificate of Analysis is available on request — email [email protected] with the batch printed on your bottle and we will send the one that matches it. The oil is made for EU Labs in Amsterdam and dispatched within Australia.

The format is the same as the rest of our oils, which keeps comparison simple. Each 50ml bottle is measured in 0.5ml servings drawn with the dropper, so it holds about 100 servings whichever strength you choose; the ingredient line reads hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) aerial-parts extract and MCT coconut oil, and the oil is organic, non-GMO and alcohol-free. None of that describes an effect — it is simply what the bottle contains and how it is measured. If you want to see CBN sitting alongside the CBD and CBG oils in those same terms, the whole catalogue lists every strength and price for Perth side by side.

How to read the label and choose a strength

Choosing a CBN oil is a matter of reading three things off the label, and none of them is a dose-for-a-purpose — that is a personal decision, and our guide to using CBD oil covers how to measure a serving, not how much anyone should take.

  • Milligrams (mg) — the total cannabinoid in the bottle. A higher number means more CBN in the same 50ml, which is why a 6000mg bottle costs more than a 1000mg one.
  • Per-millilitre strength — divide the milligrams by the volume. A 1000mg CBN oil in a 50ml bottle works out at 20mg per millilitre; a 6000mg bottle is 120mg per millilitre. The dropper measures a 0.5ml serving, so any 50ml bottle holds about 100 servings whatever the strength.
  • Carrier oil — what the cannabinoid is dissolved in. Ours is coconut-derived MCT, stated plainly on the label.
  • THC content and lab testing — our CBN oil is a THC-free isolate, confirmed by the Certificate of Analysis for the batch. Reading the COA is how you check the figures rather than take them on trust.

That is the entire selection process: strength, per-millilitre maths, carrier and the lab report. You can line up every strength and price on the full range.

Is CBN oil legal in WA?

Cannabinoid products in Australia sit within a national framework run by the Therapeutic Goods Administration, which applies in WA as it does everywhere else in the country. We are not in a position to give legal advice, and we describe our oils strictly by composition — a THC-free cannabinol isolate in an MCT carrier — rather than by any therapeutic use. For the current rules, including how cannabidiol and other cannabinoids are scheduled, the authoritative source is the TGA website. Our CBN oil is sold to adults aged 18 and over and is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

Common questions about CBN oil in Perth

What is CBN? CBN is cannabinol, a minor cannabinoid produced by the hemp plant. We supply it as a THC-free isolate and describe it by its composition only.

Is CBN the same as CBD? No. They are two separate cannabinoids from the same plant. CBD (cannabidiol) is the most abundant one and is sold as full-spectrum or broad-spectrum oil; CBN (cannabinol) is a minor cannabinoid we sell as an isolate.

Does CBN oil contain THC? Our CBN oil does not. It is a THC-free isolate, and the Certificate of Analysis for each batch confirms the figure.

Is CBN oil legal in WA? Cannabinoids fall under the national framework set by the TGA, which covers WA. We describe our product by composition and make no health claims; the TGA is the place for the rules.

Where can I buy CBN oil in Perth? Online, from CBD Oil Perth. You can compare every strength on the shop page and we post across Perth, Fremantle, Mandurah, Joondalup, Bunbury, Western Australia and the rest of WA.
